Restoration is a large fossil cave, probably of East Deep Creek (to which it is close). It is absolutely chockers with formation, much of which is in very good condition and quite clean. There is very little breeze in the cave (most caves have natural air movement in them), and thus there are many very long straws in Restoration Cave. Some of these straws are about 3m long, and thus are absolutely stunning! If you go here, please pay careful attention to the trackmarking that has been put in place to protect the more fragile parts of the cave. Restoration is not gated, as the old gate was dangerously placed in a vertical squeezy downclimb, and nearly choked a passing caver to death when their helmet got caught on it!
