Hey everyone, here’s the NUCC trip list for Semester 2. We’ve got a packed semester of caving coming up, and in addition to this we will have the weekly SRT sessions and Britt’s climbing nights. There may also be the odd impromptu caving trip or bushwalk thrown in, so keep an eye on the Facebook page!
30th June: Mount Fairy Daytrip- will be a mix of surface-trogging, sump-spotting, and maybe visiting some new caves
13-14th June: Some of us will be going up to visit SUSS at Jenolan this weekend. Message Lachlan if interested…
24th July: Market Day- come along to say hi or to help us recruit new cavers, the more the merrier
27th July: Horizontal beginner’s trip to either Mount Fairy or Wee Jasper (FREE)
3rd August: Horizontal beginner’s trip to Bungonia (FREE, if you couldn’t make the trip on the 27th)
17-18th August: Yarrangobilly (Yagby), a mix of pretty and sporty caves in the Snowy Mountains
31st August-15th September: Expedition to Takaka Hill, New Zealand
31st August: Punchbowl (Wee Jasper) Daytrip
14-15th September: Jenolan
28-29th September: Yarrangobilly again (because Yagby is that awesome!)
5-7th October: Cooleman (and maybe some more Yagby)
10th October: NUCC AGM- come along to help choose the committee for 2020!
19th October: Advanced SRT Bungonia (Argyle Hole)
26-27th October: Abercrombie Caves (and NSWSC Meeting for anyone who wishes to be a speleopolitician for the weekend)
More trips will happen in November and December- we’ll post a new trip list after the AGM. Anyone have suggestions for something epic to do over the break- Nullarbor? Tassie? As always our trips are usually beginner-friendly unless otherwise stated, but if you’ve got any concerns, ask the Trip Leader (:
